Fans engage in religious discrimination during the match between Spain and Egypt

Inappropriate behavior by fans during a friendly match between the national teams of Spain and Egypt (0:0) has sparked sharp protests in the football world. Spanish supporters at the stadium shouted religious insults directed at the opposing team. Goal.com reports on this.
In videos circulating on social media, chants from fans such as "whoever doesn't jump is a Muslim" were clearly audible. Lamin Yamal, a star of the Spanish national team and "Barcelona" club, reacted to this situation on his Instagram page.
The footballer emphasized that he is a Muslim himself and called such actions disrespectful and unacceptable.
“Although I know that the chants heard at the stadium yesterday were not directed at me personally, as a Muslim, I take this as an insult. Football should serve for enjoyment and unity, not for discriminating against people for their faith,” Lamin Yamal said in his statement.
His teammate Pedri also expressed his shock at the situation and stated that the players are against any form of racism. Meanwhile, the national team head coach Luis de la Fuente emphasized the need to isolate such individuals from society and ban them from stadiums entirely.
