Kobbie Mainoo signs contract with Manchester United until 2031

«Manchester Yunayted» club has extended its partnership with its academy graduate Kobbi Meynu. The 21-year-old midfielder will remain at «Old Trafford» until June 2031. Goal.com reports on this.
Following several months of negotiations, Meynu has joined the ranks of the club's highest-paid players. The footballer, who has been part of the «red devils» system since the age of six, has made 98 appearances for the first team and scored the winning goal in the 2024 FA Cup final.

Club management identified renewing the contract with Meynu as a priority following the managerial change in January. His weekly salary has been significantly increased from the previous £25,000.
In an interview with the club's official website, the player emphasized his connection to the team. ««Manchester Yunayted» has always been my home; this club means everything to my family.

I feel the responsibility of wearing this shirt», — Meynu said.
The club's sporting director Jeyson Uilkoks described the midfielder as a world-class talent. According to him, Meynu's professionalism serves as an example for other young players in the academy.
Meynu is expected to feature in the crucial match against «Liverpul» on May 3. He is also competing for a spot in the England national team squad under Thomas Tuxel for the World Cup.
