Vincent Kompany unhappy with Champions League officiating

Bayern Munich head coach Vincent Kompany heavily criticized the refereeing decisions following the Champions League semi-final clash against PSG. The Munich side were eliminated after a 6-5 aggregate defeat. Controversial moments during the match, particularly a denied penalty, sparked anger among the German club's representatives. This is reported by Goal.com .
In one of the game's most crucial moments, Vitinha's clearance attempt hit his teammate Joao Neves on the arm. Referee Joao Pinheiro ruled that, according to the rules, a penalty is not awarded if the ball deflects off a teammate from close range. Kompany called this decision illogical and did not hide his dissatisfaction with the officiating team's overall approach.
Additionally, PSG defender Nuno Mendes stopping the ball with his hand near the penalty area caused significant debate. The referee did not send off the player, who should have received a second yellow card. In Kompany's view, the referee hesitated in making these critical decisions that influenced the outcome of the match.
Bayern fell behind early in the match after a goal from Ousmane Dembele. Despite this, the team fought until the end, but the officiating decisions impacted the final result. Kompany praised his players' efforts and emphasized that there were many injustices against Bayern throughout the two legs.
