The history of the warm relationship between Brendan Rodgers and Cristiano Ronaldo

Al-Qadsiah head coach Brendan Rodgers revealed details of his warm meeting with Cristiano Ronaldo following a match in the Saudi Pro League. Photos that went viral on social media sparked great interest among fans, but the manager emphasized that their relationship began decades ago in England. This is reported by Goal.com.
According to Rodgers, their connection dates back to when he was a young coach at Chelsea. At that time, his mother was a fan of Manchester United star Ronaldo. At his mother's request, Brendan asked the Portuguese footballer to meet her, and Ronaldo agreed.
"My mother passed away in 2010, but the attention Ronaldo showed her that day, taking a photo with her and saying kind words, has always remained precious to me. This event strengthened the bond of respect between us," the coach recalls.
Brendan Rodgers also specially acknowledged Ronaldo's contribution to the development of Saudi Arabian football. In his opinion, it is thanks to Cristiano Ronaldo that many world-class stars are coming to this region today to continue their careers.
