After El Clásico, Toni Kroos gave a harsh assessment of the current state of his former club, Real Madrid. The 2-0 defeat to Barcelona means the Madrid club is finishing a second consecutive season without a trophy. In his "Einfach mal Luppen" podcast, Kroos emphasized that this situation is difficult to accept and that, given the team's standards, losing twice is completely unacceptable. Kroos linked the season's failures to a long-standing negative environment both inside and outside the club. In particular, the dressing room altercation between Aurelien Tchouameni and Fede Valverde was the peak of internal conflicts. These events severely damaged the players' discipline and team spirit.
Speaking about the match, Kroos noted that after the quick goals from Marcus Rashford and Ferran Torres, the team's belief in victory completely vanished. He did not hide that while watching the game, he felt very hopeless and wanted the match to end as quickly as possible. Although the game leveled out slightly in the second half, Real Madrid's efforts were not enough.
Currently, further changes in the coaching staff are expected at the club. After Álvaro Arbeloa lost control of the team, Florentino Pérez is considering the option of bringing back José Mourinho as head coach. At the same time, rumors are circulating that Toni Kroos might return to Real Madrid in the future as a club ambassador or in another role, similar to Zinedine Zidane.
