Luka Modrić talks about his future with Milan and new trophies

Legendary Croatian midfielder Luka Modrić has addressed his future at Milan as his current contract nears its end. Despite approaching 40, he remains a key figure in Massimiliano Allegri's squad and aims to conclude his tenure at San Siro with silverware. This is reported by Goal.com .
Having joined Milan as a free agent after parting ways with Real Madrid in the summer of 2025, Modrić continues to prove his high level of competitiveness. His contract expires at the end of the season, but includes an option for a one-year extension. Responding to questions about his future, the player emphasized that he is currently focused on securing a Champions League spot.
"I am very happy at Milan, but right now the most important thing is Sunday's match against Cagliari and qualifying for the Champions League. Time will tell about the rest. My relationship with the club management and the coach is excellent," the Croatian maestro explained in an interview with Sportmediaset.
Modrić, who won the Champions League six times with Real Madrid during his illustrious career, stated that he did not come to Italy just to retire. He dreams of winning at least one major trophy in the Rossoneri jersey. "I came here to help and to win. We didn't win a trophy this year, but I really want to become a champion with Milan," he added.
The midfielder, who recently underwent surgery for a facial fracture, expressed his readiness to return to the pitch wearing a protective mask. He stated that he feels physically well and is ready to help his team if Allegri gives him the opportunity.
