Renowned boxing promoter Eddie Hearn has made an unexpected proposal to UFC President Dana White. He expressed his willingness to pay the English fighter significantly more than his current salary if the UFC agrees to terminate his contract with the reigning champion Tom Aspinall.
Hearn stated that if the UFC releases Aspinall from his contract, he is ready to provide Dana White with a written guarantee. The promoter emphasized that he would pay Tom at least three times what he is currently earning. In his view, a champion-level fighter like Aspinall should not be limited by such a low-paying deal.
"I would like the contract between Tom and the UFC to be terminated. If that happens, I will give Dana a written guarantee: I will pay Aspinall at least three times the money he is currently being paid," said Hearn.
The promoter sharply criticized Aspinall's current contract. He noted that the English athlete signed one of the worst and lowest-paying deals he has ever seen. Hearn described this situation as unfair and stated that it needs to change.
For context, Tom Aspinall has not returned to the octagon since suffering an eye injury in his fight against Ciryl Gane on October 5, 2025. Despite this, interest in him remains high. On the contrary, following Hearn's statement, Aspinall's future and his relationship with the UFC have returned to the center of discussion.
