AMD's Data Center and AI Revenue Surges, Overtaking Intel. AMD has reported its financial results for the fourth quarter of 2024 and the full year.
Quarterly revenue reached $7.66 billion, a 24% increase year-over-year. Operating profit surged by 155% to $871 million, while net profit dropped by 28% to $482 million.
For the entire year, AMD generated $25.79 billion in revenue (+14%), with operating profit soaring 374% to $1.9 billion, and net profit increasing by 92% to $1.64 billion.
Like Nvidia, AMD is shifting focus towards data center solutions. The Data Center division accounted for nearly half of the company’s annual revenue, doubling its growth. Its operating profit reached $3.48 billion—nearly twice the total operating profit of the company, as losses from other divisions amounted to $4.19 billion.
