DOOM now runs in Google search bar

Developers have long been trying to run the classic shooter DOOM on every possible platform. While it was previously ported to browsers, it has now made its way to the Google search bar.

A programmer named Pedro Webber created a script that allows DOOM to run within Google’s search field. He developed a Python-based port of the game and adapted it for search engine execution. While some fixes were required to make it work, the result was successful. The game runs in black-and-white mode with a low frame rate but still supports gamepad controls.

Previously, a similar port of DOOM was launched in a PDF file using Chromium-based browsers. Additionally, the game has been integrated into CAPTCHA, Telegram, and other unexpected platforms. Follow “Zamin” news on “Telegram”
