Instagram app for iPad in development, release in 2025
Meta is preparing to launch a dedicated Instagram app for iPad in 2025, reported Rozetked.me.

According to Mark Gurman, citing journalists Kaya Yurieff and Kallie Huang, the company has already begun closed internal testing of the new app.

The app will feature a tablet-optimized interface, improving the experience of browsing the feed, Stories, and live streams. It will also offer simplified photo and video editing tools. Support for landscape orientation and Apple Pencil is expected.

Meta aims to eliminate the current inconveniences of using the stretched iPhone app or web version on iPad. While an exact release date hasn’t been confirmed, the launch is planned for the second half of 2025.

Previously, WhatsApp also released a dedicated iPad version.
