Qualcomm is testing 18-core Snapdragon X2 Elite

Qualcomm is testing 18-core Snapdragon X2 Elite
Qualcomm is actively testing a new chipset labeled SC8480XP, likely the upcoming Snapdragon X2 Elite, aimed at high-end ARM-based Windows laptops. The news comes from insider Roland Quandt, via Bluesky, reported Rozetked.me

According to Quandt, the top configuration will include at least 18 CPU cores and 64 GB of RAM. The chipset will adopt SiP (System-in-Package) packaging — integrating all components, including memory, into a single unit. This design, used in devices like the Apple Watch, makes user upgrades impossible.

The flagship Snapdragon X2 Elite is expected to be officially announced on September 23 during the Snapdragon Summit event.
