Google has rolled out a new AI-powered calling feature for businesses called “AI Call,” TechCrunch reported. The feature allows Google’s Gemini 2.5 Pro model to answer customer calls automatically through the Android “AI Mode.”
When a call comes in, Gemini can respond to inquiries, provide information, and, if needed, transfer the call to a human representative. It’s designed primarily for small and medium-sized businesses that want to offer 24/7 support and streamline operations.
Currently, the feature is being piloted in the U.S., with plans to expand to other regions later. This marks one of the first real-world applications of Gemini’s capabilities in business communication and customer service. Read “Zamin” on Telegram!
