Uzbekistan has taken another major step towards developing local industry and providing the population with environmentally friendly products. In cooperation with Chinese investors, the production of modern air purifiers will be launched in the Fergana region, the regional administration’s press service reported.
According to the information, during the business visit of the Fergana region delegation to the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of China, important agreements were reached. In particular, on an area of more than 52 hectares in the Furqat district, a project will be implemented to produce pharmaceutical products and air purifiers within the framework of the special industrial zone “Fergana — New Opportunities.”
It is noted that the main initiator of the projects is the Chinese company Gascia-Aksu Alliance. The company will not only build factories but also attract large entrepreneurs from China to produce export-oriented products. In turn, the local government promises full support and the creation of all necessary conditions for the investors.
From an environmental point of view, the project is also of great importance. Air quality in the country’s major cities, especially Tashkent, often exceeds permissible standards. The situation is particularly critical in winter due to heating systems, and in summer as a result of climate change and desertification processes. Experts believe that locally produced air purifiers can make a significant contribution to protecting public health.
In addition, Chinese partners will participate in the construction of a new industrial zone in the Tashkent region, as well as in the creation of modern “smart” logistics warehouses and an online platform to simplify customs clearance of goods.
Experts emphasize that such joint projects will not only bring economic benefits but also significantly enhance Uzbekistan’s international investment image.
