In the Oqdaryo district of Samarkand region, the Chinese company Yaxing Guoji Maoyi plans to produce several products within a $28 million project, reported uz24.uz.
According to the project, the factory will produce soft drinks, laundry detergent, 2–4 wheeled electric scooters, and solar-powered street lights. All of these will be localized in Samarkand for the first time.
Investors have indicated the need for a road to the Dahbed area where the “Urgut” SEZ branch is located and have requested infrastructural support from the regional governor in this regard.
The project is planned to start operating in February 2026, resulting in the creation of 40 new jobs.
