Apple Music and TikTok have announced a new partnership that allows users to listen to full tracks directly within the short-video platform. Subscribers will no longer need to switch apps to enjoy their favorite songs, thanks to a newly integrated mini-player. Reports Rozetked.me.
The upcoming 'Play Full Song' feature utilizes Apple MusicKit technology. When users tap the dedicated button, an in-app player will open, streaming the complete track. Importantly for artists, all plays through this feature will officially count as Apple Music streams, ensuring that musicians receive their rightful royalties.
For those who do not currently have an Apple Music subscription, the platform will offer a three-month free trial to test the new integration. The global rollout of this feature is expected to take place over the next few weeks.
In addition to the mini-player, the collaboration will introduce a 'Listening Party' format. This feature will create virtual rooms where artists and fans can listen to music together in real time while interacting through an integrated chat system.
