Gumloop Raises 50M from Benchmark

Gumloop has raised 50 million dollars in a Series B funding round led by Benchmark. The investment reflects growing confidence in tools that let regular employees create their own AI agents without technical skills. Reports Techcrunch.com.
Founded in mid-2023 by Max Brodeur-Urbas, Gumloop helps non-technical staff automate repetitive and complex tasks. Companies including Shopify, Ramp, Gusto, Samsara, Instacart, and Opendoor now use the platform to deploy reliable AI agents that handle multistep processes independently.
Employees can easily share the agents they build, creating a ripple effect across teams. As workers get comfortable with the tool, they create more agents and help their organizations become fully AI-native.
Benchmark general partner Everett Randle, who joined the firm last October, led the round. He believes empowering every worker with AI capabilities is key to success in the current technology race. Other investors included Nexus VP, First Round Capital, Y Combinator, BoxGroup, The Cannon Project, and Shopify.
Although Gumloop was not actively seeking funds, the team decided to accelerate growth due to strong enterprise demand. The company plans to expand its sales team and engineering staff. While competition exists from platforms like Zapier, n8n, Dust, and even Anthropic's Claude Cowork, Randle says Gumloop stands out because of its simple interface and model-agnostic design.
This flexibility allows users to select the best AI model for each task and manage costs effectively as technology evolves.
