The Progress MS-34 spacecraft delivered 2.5 tons of cargo to the ISS

The Soyuz-2.1a rocket carrying the Russian Progress MS-34 cargo spacecraft has successfully launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome. A few minutes after liftoff, the spacecraft separated from the rocket’s third stage and reached its designated orbit. Ixbt.com reports.

The 7.4-ton spacecraft is now heading toward the International Space Station (ISS).

Under this mission, a total of nearly 2.5 tons of cargo is scheduled to be delivered to the station. The cargo includes 700 kg of fuel, 420 kg of water and 50 kg of oxygen.

The spacecraft also carries more than 1.3 tons of dry cargo for the station’s systems and crew, including a new Orlan-MKS spacesuit.

The flight, intended for scientific research, also sent VR equipment to study the effects of weightlessness on the human body, as well as special equipment for various biological experiments. According to the plan, the spacecraft is due to dock with the ISS’s Zvezda module at 05:01 a.m. Tashkent time on April 28.
