Cosmonauts receive food and a new spacesuit from Progress MS-34 spacecraft

May 1 was a busy day aboard the International Space Station. The crew was occupied with unloading the Progress MS-34 spacecraft. This was reported by Ixbt.com xabar.
Station commander Sergey Kud-Sverchkov provided details regarding this.
In a released video, he demonstrated the process of opening the hatch and showed the contents of the massive shipment. According to him, the cosmonauts will dedicate the coming days to sorting and organizing the delivered cargo.
The process involves moving containers and conducting a precise inventory. Each item is scanned via barcode and entered into the system.
This allows for the quick retrieval of necessary items on the station. Despite the apparent simplicity of the operations, the work requires caution and strict accounting.
The shipment to orbit included food, such as fresh vegetables and fruits, clothing, hygiene products, and water equipment. A portion of the cargo is intended not only for the current crew but also for a future expedition featuring Pyotr Dubrov and Anna Kikina.
The spacecraft launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome on April 26 and reached orbit 9 minutes later. The flight was carried out under the 95th resupply mission program, aimed at replenishing station resources and providing the crew with all necessary supplies.
Progress MS-34 delivered nearly 700 kg of fuel to refuel the station, 420 kg of water, and 50 kg of oxygen. The cargo also contained 1,348 kg of equipment and supplies, including a new "Orlan-MKS No. 8" spacesuit designed for cosmonauts to perform spacewalks.
