Mobile operator T2 migrates network core to local solution

Mobile operator T2 (formerly Tele2) has completed the replacement of critical network core components with import-substituting local technologies in Murmansk, Pskov, and Petrozavodsk. LTE speed charging is now handled by the Bercut PCRF (Policy and Charging Rules Function) system, which fully complies with international standards. This is reported by Ixbt.com .
The PCRF system is responsible for providing subscribers with the correct internet speed according to their tariff plans. The partnership between Bercut and T2 to develop this solution lasted three years. The implementation of the new system took seven months, and T2's infrastructure is now fully powered by local software.
Alexey Dmitriev, Deputy CEO for Technical Infrastructure at T2, praised the project's results. According to him, the main task during the migration was to maintain service quality and avoid outages. Years of hard work paid off, and the company is now ready to scale this experience to other regions.
