SpaceX has announced that the next test flight of its super-heavy Starship rocket will not take place before May 15. This was reported by Dima Zeniuk, who closely monitors the company's activities and is frequently mentioned by Elon Musk. Previously, the flight was scheduled for May 12, but the date has been pushed back again. This is reported by Ixbt.com .
During this test flight, SpaceX specialists will continue to verify the performance of the Super Heavy booster and the Starship upper stage. According to the program, the stage separation, atmospheric maneuvers, and the effectiveness of controlled landing systems will be tested.
The overall mission plan remains unchanged: Starship V3 will not perform an orbital flight, and its second stage is planned to land in the Indian Ocean. Currently, the Super Heavy Booster 19, intended for the 12th test flight, has already been delivered to the launch pad.
Starship is a fully reusable super-heavy rocket system developed by SpaceX. It is specifically designed to transport cargo and people to Earth orbit, as well as to the Moon and Mars.
