Honor Magic 9 Pro Max to launch with dual 200 MP cameras and ARRI technology

Initial details about the Honor Magic 9 Pro Max flagship smartphone have surfaced on Chinese social media. The company is preparing to unveil the new device, placing a major emphasis on mobile photography and videography capabilities. The smartphone's key feature is expected to be a system consisting of two 200-megapixel cameras. This was reported by Ixbt.com .
According to reports, the device is being tested with a 200-megapixel primary module and a periscopic zoom sensor of the same resolution. For the main camera, Honor is considering the OV52B and OVB0D sensors. The OVB0D sensor, in particular, stands out with its large 1/1.12-inch optical format and LOFIC and DCG technologies, which serve to expand dynamic range in complex lighting conditions.
Special attention is being paid to video capabilities. Honor is collaborating with the German company ARRI, known for its professional cinema cameras. ARRI's image processing technologies are expected to significantly improve color reproduction and video quality on Magic series smartphones.
Previously, Honor and ARRI reached an agreement to integrate advanced image processing technologies into the MagicOS system. Honor CEO Zhao Ming emphasized that this partnership is crucial for the future of mobile photography.
