Pure Lithium New Energy starts mass production of solid-state batteries

Beijing-based startup Pure Lithium New Energy has launched a 500 MWh solid-state battery production line in Lankao, Henan Province, China. Supported by a state investment platform, the company plans to build a large-scale plant with several GWh capacity by 2026. This is reported by Ixbt.com .
Founded in 2022, the company utilizes its proprietary organic-inorganic composite electrolyte and supercritical coating technology. In October 2024, Pure Lithium launched mass production of 50 Ah battery cells. These batteries have successfully passed testing according to GB/T36276-2018 international standards.
The company held a unique demonstration at the CIBF 2026 exhibition in Shenzhen: despite the battery being physically cut, it continued to power external devices. This demonstrates the high safety level and stability of the technology.
The current generation of batteries uses lithium iron phosphate cathodes and graphite anodes, providing an energy density of 180–190 Wh/kg. Company founder Yan Fan stated the goal of exceeding 200 Wh/kg in next-generation products.
One of the key advantages of the technology is its durability. According to Pure Lithium, their batteries can withstand 6,000 to 8,000 charge-discharge cycles, which is a critical metric for electric vehicles and energy storage systems.
