American Airlines signs contract with SpaceX's Starlink service

American Airlines has announced plans to install the Starlink system on over 500 Airbus aircraft starting early next year. This marks another major deal for the SpaceX division to provide in-flight Wi-Fi services. This was reported by Techcrunch.com reporting .
This contract represents not only a financial gain for Starlink, the only profitable division within SpaceX, but also a significant victory over competitors like Amazon Kuiper and Viasat. Starlink satellites provide broadband internet to both individual consumers and large corporate clients using low Earth orbit.
The company has recently significantly expanded its partnerships with airlines and cruise operators. According to SpaceX's IPO registration documents announced last week, carriers such as United Airlines, Southwest Airlines, Qatar Airways, Lufthansa Group, British Airways, and Alaska Airlines have already begun equipping their aircraft with Starlink.
Under the new agreement with American Airlines, only new Airbus A321XLR and A320neo aircraft will be equipped with this technology, while Boeing aircraft are not currently included in this project. This serves as another positive boost for SpaceX ahead of its highly anticipated IPO next month, which is expected to be the largest in history.
