Black Shark, one of the prominent representatives of the specialized gaming smartphone market, has completely ceased its operations in the final stage. This decision is said to be related to large-scale restructuring processes in the company's business structure. Although the manufacturer tried to support users in due time, mobile phone servicing has been officially terminated. This step became a long-expected, but inevitable end for the brand's fans.

The end of the gaming phone era

The Black Shark brand was once one of the first Chinese companies to focus on devices with powerful hardware, active cooling systems, and additional gaming features. They quickly found their place among mobile gaming enthusiasts and brought a unique approach to the market.

However, after the release of the Black Shark 5 series smartphones in 2022, no new flagship models were released by the company. Over time, the manufacturer had to abandon the production of smartphones and focus on various gaming accessories.

The shutdown processes began as early as the summer of this year, when the company started moving its public servers to another location and gradually closing down the old platform. The core functions and the official online store were transferred to the Black Shark Gearbox app.

According to company representatives, these strategic changes are explained by the necessity of transitioning to a new infrastructure. In the future, this very app will serve as the main platform for the brand's services, but the smartphones themselves have passed into history.
