Microsoft allows removal of the intrusive Copilot button in Office apps

Microsoft has announced an upcoming update for Office apps. This update will allow users to disable the floating Copilot AI assistant button. This was reported by Ixbt.com reports .
This interface element, which recently appeared in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, has caused complaints from many users. Excel users, in particular, complained that the button was blocking cells and could not be hidden.
According to Microsoft product manager Catherine Kivett, the company has taken into account user requests for more control over the Copilot display. Users will now be able to customize the interface according to their preferences.
In the near future, Microsoft will provide the option to move the button to the toolbar (ribbon). As a result, it will no longer float over documents and interfere with the workflow. This decision is a continuation of Microsoft's reforms to remove excessive Copilot buttons from Windows 11 apps.
