The Senate of the Oliy Majlis has passed a law aimed at improving the support system for the donor movement, according to the parliamentary press service.
Under the new law, citizens awarded the "Honorary Donor" badge will receive a one-time financial reward of 15 BRV (5.6 million UZS). Previously, this amount was only 5 BRV (1.8 million UZS).
Additionally, honorary donors will be able to take their annual leave at a convenient time, use urban public transport for free (excluding route taxis and private shuttle services), and receive priority access to sanatorium and resort treatment vouchers.
Local authorities will take measures to promote a culture of voluntary blood donation, engage the public in donor activities, and create favorable conditions for donors.
