ADB to invest $400M in financial inclusion in Uzbekistan
In 2025, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) will invest $400 million in inclusive finance programs targeting small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Uzbekistan, reports the bank’s press service.

The program focuses on expanding access to affordable credit and inclusive banking services for businesses. Key partners include Halk Bank, the Business Development Bank, and the Center for Entrepreneurship and Farming Support.

Kanokpan Lao-Araya, ADB’s country director for Uzbekistan, noted that the bank will continue providing comprehensive support to local entrepreneurs.

Previously, ADB contributed to developing Uzbekistan’s SME development strategy. The bank expects its implementation to boost the competitiveness of Uzbek companies.
