
The US Geological Survey plans to hire contractors to carry out projects aimed at studying Uzbekistan’s water resources, NOVA24.uz reported.
These initiatives include examining the seasonal dynamics of the Kashkadarya River and analyzing surface water and snowpack conditions. The main goal is to help boost Uzbekistan’s scientific and technical capacity in water resource assessment.
The following work is planned:
. Study of water sources and seasonal changes along the Kashkadarya River.
. Analysis of surface water and snow cover, with risk assessments for floods and mudflows.
. Uzbek scientists, engineers, and students will be introduced to US Geological Survey methods through knowledge exchange.
