Ministry of Energy comments on Tashkent airport blackout

Ministry of Energy comments on Tashkent airport blackout
Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Energy has responded to reports of a temporary power outage at Tashkent International Airport, reports UPL.

According to the ministry, the issue was caused by a technical malfunction in a 0.4 kV internal distribution unit owned by the airport. The problem was not linked to the external power supply systems.

Authorities confirmed that electricity supply to the airport continued normally and that energy companies were not informed of any disruptions.

Regional power networks also verified that there were no faults in the main supply lines feeding the airport.

The ministry urged social media users not to spread unverified claims and to avoid misleading the public, emphasizing the importance of fact-checking before publication.
