Since the beginning of 2025, cases of illegal waste dumping have increased across the country. This situation not only causes great harm to the environment but also raises serious concern among the public. Numerous violations are being uncovered within the scope of monitoring and observation efforts carried out by the state.
According to information provided by the Ministry of Ecology, a total of 5,215 cases of illegal dumping were recorded throughout the country in the first half of 2025. Online surveillance cameras played a significant role in detecting these incidents. Appropriate measures were taken for each recorded case, and a total of 14,728 administrative protocols were drawn up against the violators.
The total amount of fines imposed for these violations amounted to 7.9 billion soms. Of that, over 3.3 billion soms have already been collected in accordance with the procedure. Work on the remaining amount is ongoing. This figure shows not only the large number of incidents but also the tightening of control.
Statistical analysis shows that the most violations occurred in Namangan region — 1,563 cases. Next comes Andijan region with 1,443 cases, followed by Fergana region with 1,163 cases. The high population density and industrial activity in these regions may be the reason for such figures.
In connection with these incidents, the Ministry of Ecology is calling on all citizens to comply with the law and to dispose of waste only in specially designated areas. Improper waste disposal can lead not only to the spread of pests and harmful microorganisms but also cause devastating effects on soil and water sources.
Relevant organizations emphasize that public monitoring and preventive work will be strengthened to prevent such situations. It is also expected that liability for violating waste disposal rules will be increased.
Currently, ecologists are regularly conducting raids in various regions regarding illegal waste dumping. They not only impose fines but also carry out public awareness activities.
In this context, it is also important for citizens to act responsibly. If you witness any violations, report them to the relevant authorities immediately. Every report is a crucial step toward environmental protection.
Indifference to ecology is unacceptable; protecting it is our civic duty. The fight for clean air, pure nature, and a healthy environment is a shared responsibility of society. Only through discipline and environmental awareness can such problems be eliminated.
Today, the issue of waste management has become urgent in all regions. Authorities are trying to improve the situation by constantly informing the public. Mass media and social networks also play a big role in this process.
Ultimately, no violation should go unpunished. Therefore, respecting the law and valuing the environment as much as our own interests is the guarantee of our future. Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
