Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has ordered that surveillance cameras be installed in areas where government employees illegally park their vehicles, causing inconvenience to the public. This was reported by Kursiv media.
The president noted that in many cases, official vehicles block streets near government buildings, often occupying two or three rows in already congested areas.
A survey of 15,000 drivers was conducted on his instructions. The results confirmed a severe lack of legal parking in Tashkent and other major cities, forcing drivers to park along curbs.
“In general, no one listens to the problems of ordinary drivers. There is no platform for communication,” said Mirziyoyev.
He also ordered the removal of unjustified “no parking” signs placed by various organizations and neighborhoods.
Only government-approved official vehicles will retain priority; others will no longer have road privileges. Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
