Important decisions related to children's education have been made in two districts of the Republic of Karakalpakstan — Khodjeyli and Takhiyatosh. According to them, from July 16 to 18, all state and private preschool educational institutions in these districts will temporarily suspend their activities, reported the local administration.
The reason for this restriction is the abnormal heat wave. According to "Uzhydromet", during these days the air temperature may exceed +40 degrees, and in some places reach up to +44 degrees.
In the official decision letter of the hokim of Khodjeyli district, it is emphasized that in such abnormal heat conditions, it is impossible to provide a comfortable and safe environment for children in kindergartens. Therefore, the activity is temporarily stopped, and children's health is considered the top priority.
The hokim of Takhiyatosh district gave a more detailed explanation: he stated that the heat is felt not only outside, but also inside buildings, where the temperature exceeds 35 degrees. This may have a serious negative impact on children's health.
The legal basis for both decisions is the official letters from the district Departments of Sanitary-Epidemiological Safety and Public Health. In their conclusions, specialists noted that in such heat, there is insufficient air circulation, internal environment control, and body temperature regulation mechanisms in kindergartens.
Officials stated that this decision is temporary, and after the weather normalizes, kindergartens will resume their work.
At the same time, this initiative sparked wide discussion on social networks. Most citizens approved the decision and thanked the authorities for prioritizing children’s safety.
More importantly, this situation demonstrated the importance of quick and sound decision-making in future cases of extreme heat. Because children's health is above any education. Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
