According to the presidential decree, a series of appointments have been made at one of our country's key defense educational institutions – the Military Security and Defense University. The renewed leadership team, ongoing reforms in the sector, and the further improvement in education quality point to further development.
According to official information, Major General Farhodjon Ortikovich Shermatov was appointed First Deputy Head of the University. Previously, he served as commander of the Southwestern Special Military District and accumulated considerable experience in the field.
Another important division of the institution – the Institute of Ground Forces – is now headed by Colonel Kahramonjon Obidjonovich Zoidov. The Military Aviation Institute will now be led by Colonel Abdulla Adhamovich Khamrayev.
Colonel Kodirjon Abdipatoyevich Tursunov has been appointed commander of the Southwestern Special Military District troops. Previously, he worked as Deputy Minister of Defense for Combat Training and is now expected to open a new page in the district.
Taking into account the development of new technologies and the information-communication sector in education, Lieutenant Colonel Bakhtiyor Nematovich Rakhimov was appointed Head of the Military Institute of Information and Communication Technologies and Communications.
The university’s medical direction has also been strengthened – Colonel of Medical Service Ulugbek Abdugafurovich Rasulov was appointed Head of the Military Medical Institute.
The new leaders are tasked with equipping students with modern knowledge and skills, developing the defense system based on advanced practices, and strengthening security.
