In the period from January to June 2025, the number of twins in Uzbekistan increased significantly. According to the State Committee of Statistics, a total of 9,738 twins were born across the republic during this half-year period. This figure reflects not only demographic growth but also a new trend of births in families.
By region, the number of twins born was distributed as follows:

It can be seen that Samarkand and Fergana regions are leading in twin births in the republic, while Kashkadarya and Surkhandarya also have high figures. The smallest number was recorded in Navoi and Jizzakh regions.
The birth of twins brings great joy and responsibility to families. According to specialists, twins require special care and attention, especially during the first year of life, which is important for their health and development.
These figures for half a year allow assessing the demographic situation in the country and the social condition of young parents. Based on this data, the government and medical organizations can develop special programs and advisory services.
