Uzbekistan passport climbs in global ranking

As of September 8, 2025, the Uzbekistan passport ranks 72nd in the Henley Passport Index, Kursiv Media reported. This is an improvement from the 74th position recorded at the end of July this year.

The index evaluates 199 passports and 227 countries based on visa-free travel opportunities. It is updated every quarter.

Uzbekistan passport holders can travel to 62 countries without a visa. The country's ranking neighbors are Mozambique (72nd) and São Tomé and Príncipe (73rd).

Singapore remains at the top of the index — its passport allows visa-free entry to 193 destinations. South Korea and Japan follow in second place.

At the bottom of the list are Iraq (96th), Syria (97th), and Afghanistan (98th).
