Internet is deeply affecting children’s lives

In the 21st century, the internet has become an inseparable part of not only adults’ lives but also children’s, Uz24.uz reported.
According to a survey by the "Yuksalish" movement, most children do not spend excessive time online. 36% use the internet up to 1 hour a day, 31% for 1–3 hours, 11% for 4–6 hours, and 7% spend more than 6 hours daily.
The main reason children use the internet is education: 64% go online for school-related purposes. Other reasons include watching videos (16%), gaming (12%), and using social media (12.5%). Additionally, 10% of parents admitted they give phones to children just to keep them occupied.
Parents link internet use to issues like time-wasting (35%), health concerns and sleep problems (30%), addiction and inappropriate content (14% each). Still, 25% of respondents reported no issues with their child’s internet use.
