According to Oleg Pekos, First Deputy Minister of Information Technologies and Communications Development of Uzbekistan, the country is creating a centralized data repository (Data Warehouse) and a unified architecture for temporary storage (Data Lakehouse), Kursiv Media reported.
He spoke about this during a panel discussion within the framework of the Digital Bridge forum held in Astana. According to him, all data stored in these systems will be free and open to the public.
Pekos also said that a tender for the construction of a large artificial intelligence cluster was recently announced in Uzbekistan, and invited the companies participating in the event to take part in it. Previously, a small AI cluster had been launched in the country.
He also commented on electronic government. According to him, Uzbekistan has not chosen the path of creating a super-app — all government services can be accessed through the mobile applications of banks and payment systems. "Government services should be in everyone's hands," he said.
