On October 5, during a telephone conversation, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev sincerely congratulated the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon on his birthday. He wished the head of our state good health and well-being, and the fraternal people of Tajikistan - prosperity and further progress. This was reported by the press service of the President.
Noting the role of the President of Tajikistan in strengthening the country's independence, ensuring sustainable development, and enhancing its international authority, the head of state emphasized his personal contribution to strengthening the relations of friendship, good neighborliness, and alliance between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.
During the telephone conversation, issues of further expanding multifaceted partnership within the framework of the implementation of high-level agreements were considered. Joint efforts to further develop cooperation in priority areas such as trade, industrial cooperation, transport, energy, agriculture, tourism, and cultural and humanitarian exchange were discussed.
The schedule and agenda of bilateral and multilateral high-level events planned to be held in Uzbekistan were also reviewed. This dialogue was assessed as an important step in strengthening friendship and strategic partnership between the states.
