The Government of Uzbekistan has adopted a new resolution aimed at supporting young people in learning foreign languages. According to Resolution No. 632 adopted on October 8, special subsidies will be provided to young people who wish to study languages.
The new system will be implemented through the “2+6” program. According to it, certified young people will pay for the first two months of study themselves, while the next up to six months of education will be funded by the Youth Affairs Agency Fund.
The amount of the subsidy is set by regions as follows:
In Tashkent city — up to 2 times the GDP per capita (824 thousand soums),
In regional centers — up to 1.5 times (618 thousand soums),
In districts and towns — up to 1 time (412 thousand soums).
In 2025–2026, up to 20,000 young people are expected to receive subsidies. It is also planned to allocate grants annually in the same amount until 2031. If the annual limit is reached, applications will be carried over to the next year.
To ensure efficiency, the subsidy will be provided only to educational centers registered on the electronic platform, where class attendance is monitored electronically.
