More gas and tax benefits to be provided to Uzbekistan’s greenhouses

More gas and tax incentives will be provided for Uzbekistan's greenhouses

The government of Uzbekistan has announced a comprehensive program aimed at significantly increasing the volume of products and exports in greenhouses, UPL.UZ reported.

The main part of the strategy is to provide an uninterrupted gas supply to greenhouse farms, which will help increase yields.

According to the new decision, by 2026, income from agrarian export sales is planned to be brought to $3.5 billion, and in 2027, to $4 billion.

The current state program envisages raising greenhouse product output to 620,000 tons in 2026 and 670,000 tons in 2027.
The export share of greenhouse products is expected to increase from the current 30% to 70%.
Additionally, 20,000 hectares will be allocated in 2026, and 15,000 hectares in 2027.

From January 1, 2026 to the end of 2028, the social tax rate for agrarian enterprises will be reduced to 1%.
Also, tax debts as of October 1, 2025, will have interest-free mandatory placement deferred until the end of 2028.
Governors are tasked with monitoring the implementation of these measures and assisting farmers.

Uzbekistan is among the world's leading exporters of apricots, watermelons, grapes, and other fruits.
