A video showing a fire that broke out on the premises of school No. 208 in the Mirzo Ulugbek district has spread on social networks, reports the Uznews.uz website.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES), on October 13, 2025, at 17:23, the Tashkent city MES headquarters received a report about a fire in an unused building on the school grounds. It was reported that repair work is currently being carried out in this building.
Firefighting crews arrived at the scene at 17:28.
– The fire was localized at 17:39,
– and fully extinguished at 17:42.
According to MES data, there were neither students nor staff at the school during the incident, so no one was injured.
Preliminary information indicates that the fire was caused by non-compliance with fire safety rules during repair work.
At present, the amount of material damage is being determined.
