
A sincere and symbolic event was organized in memory of the Uzbek-Finnish summit held in Tashkent. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the head of Finland Alexander Stubb took part in a joint tree-planting ceremony in the Alley of Honorary Guests, located at the Kuksaroy residence, the presidential press service reported.
This ceremony was held as a symbol of friendship, mutual understanding, and trust between the two countries. At the same time, he expressed the desire to strengthen multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and Finland.
On October 31, President of Finland Alexander Stubb arrived in Uzbekistan on an official visit. A solemn welcoming ceremony was held at the Kuksaroy residence. Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Alexander Stubb held talks with the participation of official delegations. During the conversation, issues of expanding cooperation in the political, economic, educational, environmental, and green energy spheres were discussed.
Following the meeting, the heads of the two states signed a Joint Statement. The document defines issues of bringing cooperation between Uzbekistan and Finland to a new level, increasing trade turnover and investment projects, and implementing joint programs in the field of education and scientific research.
The tree planted by the presidents is a sign that a new era of cooperation has begun. This event has not only symbolic, but also ecological significance - it showed that the two countries have a common goal in protecting nature and moving towards a green future.
