At the 31st International Creative Competition in Korean Language and Literature, held at Yonsei University, one of the most prestigious universities in the Republic of Korea, Sabokhat Gafurova, a student from Uzbekistan, a 4th-year student of Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, won first place among foreign participants. This is a great achievement not only for one talented young woman, but also for the entire education system of Uzbekistan and the younger generation.

This competition, held in Korea on October 1, 2025, was organized in connection with the 579th anniversary of the creation of the Korean script - Hangul. More than 1,400 participants from 76 countries presented their works in the categories of poems "Mirror" and essays "Memories."
During the competition, participants were assessed not only for their excellent knowledge of the language, but also for their respect for Korean culture and aesthetic feelings.
