During large-scale operational and preventive measures carried out in Uzbekistan, strict actions were taken against hundreds of offenders. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, within one month — from November 20 to December 20 — a preventive measure in the form of arrest was applied to 379 individuals.
It is reported that more than 16,000 operational and investigative activities were conducted across all regions of the country through coordinated efforts of law enforcement agencies. As a result, 2,256 crimes were solved and 1,534 criminal cases were initiated.
Particular attention was paid to combating illegal drug trafficking. During the operations, 2,375 drug-related offenses were identified, more than 500 kilograms of narcotic substances and over 166,000 psychotropic drugs were seized from criminal groups. In addition, more than 500 illegally cultivated drug plants were destroyed.
The internal affairs authorities emphasize that such measures play an important role in ensuring public safety and combating crime. Efforts to uphold the rule of law are continuing consistently.
