President reviews operations of a modern clinic in Olmazor district

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Sinomed multidisciplinary medical center located in Tashkent’s Olmazor district and reviewed the institution’s workflow, the conditions created for patients, as well as the capacity of doctors and pharmacists. This was reported by uzdaily.uz reports .
During the visit, the role of the private sector in the healthcare system was highlighted: nearly 30 percent of medical services in the country are provided by private clinics. It was emphasized that state support for private medicine and creating additional conditions for its development are among the priority areas. In this sense, centers like Sinomed expand opportunities to deliver quality medical care.
The center provides services in obstetrics, pediatrics, surgery, traumatology, orthopedics, endocrinology and other areas. The project cost amounted to USD 30 million, and medical equipment was supplied from the United Kingdom, Italy, Japan and Germany.
Sinomed includes outpatient and inpatient departments and can receive up to 4,500 patients per year. More than 300 jobs have been created, and over 80 doctors work here. More than 60 of them have received advanced training in South Korea, Germany, Turkey, India, Japan and the United States. Foreign specialists are also being engaged by the clinic.
Special attention is paid to maternal and child health. The center has launched Tashkent’s first private maternity complex, capable of serving 30 women at the same time, with plans to increase capacity in the future. Vaccination and preventive check-ups for children have also been established; call centers and patronage teams have been set up, and home visits to patients have been introduced.
It was noted that the center has the country’s largest private vaccination center as well as the only sterilization center in the private sector.
The President reviewed outpatient rooms, the conditions created for patients, and the system for monitoring women through all stages of pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period. The head of state stressed that regular prenatal monitoring and timely medical care—especially for first-time births—are necessary so that the process does not become an additional source of stress for the mother.
In a conversation with the clinic’s staff, Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized the importance of competition in private healthcare: as more private medical centers open, people have a wider choice, which in turn strengthens the alignment between service quality and treatment costs. During the visit, the President also spoke with children playing at a playground set up on the center’s grounds and noted that private clinics play an important role in introducing modern standards, training qualified personnel and providing high-level medical services.
