In the second half of the week, it may turn colder and rain may turn into snow

According to Uzgidromet, this week the weather will be unstable due to the inflow of humid and relatively warm air streams from Turkmenistan — rain is possible in some areas, and mixed rain-and-snow precipitation may be observed in foothill and mountainous locations.

The beginning of the week is warm, but humid

On February 2–5, a relatively warm “mode” will persist in many areas: around 5–10°C above zero at night and about 13–18°C during the day. Especially in foothill and mountainous regions, precipitation on February 2–3 may be heavier in some places.

Toward Friday, cold will hit, rain may turn into snow

In the second half of the week, the situation will change sharply: cold and relatively humid air masses are expected to start moving in from the territory of Kazakhstan. Therefore, around February 6, precipitation may intensify in some places, rain may turn into snow, and temperatures will drop.

Fog and a risky point in the mountains

Fog may form in some places across the country. There are also warnings about the risk of snow avalanches in mountainous areas on February 2–3 — those heading to mountain roads should increase caution.

A short forecast for Tashkent

In Tashkent, during the week the weather will quickly shift from “warm + rain” to a “return of cold”: rainy on February 2, some clearing on February 3–4, and a noticeable cooling expected by February 6.

In short, this week the weather will frequently change its “mood”: don’t forget an umbrella, and if you’re heading toward the mountains — prepare even more seriously.
