Competition Committee warns restaurants: forced "promotion set" is prohibited during Ramadan

The Committee for the Development of Competition and Consumer Protection called on public catering enterprises not to force customers to buy "stock sets" during Ramadan. The committee noted that some cafes and restaurants are forced to offer a "complex set," setting a minimum price, and limiting other options.
It is noted that such an approach restricts the client's right to free choice. That is, if a person wants to order exactly what they want, not the "set," there should be no obstacles to this.
The Committee reminded that, according to the legislation, the consumer has the right to freely choose goods and services, to demand quality. Also, the seller or contractor cannot forcefully load additional goods or services onto the consumer - the saying "there will only be a set" is precisely where the problem lies.
Another important aspect: the issue of health. If the set contains products that can cause allergies, and the client's condition is not taken into account, this becomes an even more serious risk.
