Central Bank: Small amounts dominate in P2P transfers in 2025

The Central Bank released analytical statistics on P2P (card-to-card) transfers in 2025. It is noted that over the past year, most of the card transfers were used for daily settlements, small payments, and simple mutual exchange between people.
Interestingly, almost half of the total transactions were for small amounts. Specifically, 46.1% of all transfers consist of transactions up to 1 million soums. That is, every second transfer made during the year was not "big money," but funds sent for ordinary, everyday needs.
In statistics, the following categories are also noteworthy. The share of P2P transfers in the range of 1-5 million soums was 16.8%. Transfers in the amount of 5-10 million soums are 8.6 percent.
As for larger amounts, the share of transfers from 10 million to 50 million soums was 18.3%. Transfers in the range of 50-100 million soums amounted to 5.4 percent, in the range of 100-200 million soums - 3.2 percent. P2P transfers in the amount of 200-500 million soums were recorded with a share of 1.4%.
Operations in the highest segment were relatively few: 0.2% of total transfers amounted to more than 500 million soums.
In conclusion, the figures for 2025 show that the main part of P2P transfers is still "everyday cash flow": people more often made small and medium-sized payments by card in a fast and convenient way.
