Despite the arrival of spring, winter is returning to Uzbekistan. Forecasters announced that cold and humid air masses will enter the republic starting March 9. As a result of these changes, precipitation is expected across the country.
From March 9 to March 11, rain is expected in many regions of the republic, turning into snow in some places. Heavy precipitation is possible in mountainous and foothill areas. Wind speeds are also forecast to increase to 15-20 meters per second, and up to 25 meters per second in some areas.
A sharp drop in temperature will occur from March 10 to March 12. In the northern regions, temperatures are expected to be between 7 and 10 degrees below zero at night, and 0 to 3 degrees below zero during the day. In other regions, temperatures will range from 0 to 3 degrees below zero at night, and 2 to 5 degrees above zero during the day.
Experts are urging the population to be prepared for weather changes. Citizens are advised to prepare warm clothing, check necessary supplies, and temporarily limit travel to mountainous areas. Due to weather conditions, caution is requested on the roads.
