Putin's attitude to the dollar

Russian President Vladimir Putin acknowledged at the BRICS summit in Kazan that the dollar remains the most important instrument of global finance. However, he called using the American currency to achieve political goals a "big mistake." The politician said that over the past 10 years, the US has received $12 trillion "out of thin air" because the dollar has become the world currency.
